Ryan Gosling is planning to propose to girlfriend Eva Mendes, a report has claimed today.
According to Star magazine, the Drive star is about to pop the question, and has been secretly meeting a designer to talk engagement rings.
A source told the mag: "Eva told Ryan she wants to be engaged by the time she's 40, but he was already planning a proposal. He's been in secret talks with ring designer Neil Lane."
The Hollywood heartthrob is currently filming his directorial debut - which also stars Mendes - but reportedly has something special planned for Eva.
The insider went on: "He's planning a romantic getaway once their movie How To Catch A Monster wraps.
"He tricked her into believing the trip is to celebrate the movie. Eva is completely clueless."
Gosling is currently taking a break from acting, saying, "I need a break from myself as much as I imagine the audience does.
