Once again
the level-bar of slopestyle mountain biking has been increased in the event of Red Bull Joyride-Crankworx Whistler Festival at Whistler
Mountain Bike Park. Where course contained elements of dirt jumping,
slopestyle and classic North Shore mountain biking with over 25,000 spectators. As the sun broke through the clouds, competitors threw massive tricks and
plenty of clean runs which blew the judges away.
But victory earned by 22-year-old Brandon Semenuk at his home ground. His second run was the highest
score ever recorded at the event. Martin Söderström of Sweden took
second place, followed Sam Pilgrim of the UK in third.
Semenuk said:
“Being back in my hometown in front of my friends and family,
I wanted to put together the best run I could possibly think off and get the
win at home”
